Functional Safety Manager – Senior (f/m)


  • Management of functional safety in accordance with ISO 26262 / IEC 61508 for one or more items including planning, organization of activities and regular reporting (internal as well to customer
  • Management of safety of the intended functionality (SOTIF) in accordance with ISO/PAS 21448
  • Management of suppliers with regards to functional safety (DIA)
  • Moderation of hazard analyses and risk assessments as well as further safety analyses for electronic systems in renowned Porsche cars (chassis systems, ADAS, battery systems, etc.)
  • Management of safety requirements throughout the whole safety lifecycle resulting in an item’s safety case
  • Communication with the OEM key team members, building of new contacts
  • Supervision of junior safety engineers
  • Active collaboration with international teams


  • Degree in System Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related fields
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written German language is required
  • Willingness to travel and to learn
  • Good communication/cooperation skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508
  • Experience with functional safety is required
  • Knowledge of failure analysis methodology (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA etc.)
  • Knowledge of architecture of automotive electronic systems (control units, buses, *communication protocols, diagnosis…) is advantageous
  • Knowledge of SOTIF (ISO/PAS 21448) is advantageous
  • Experience with V-model and quality management is advantageous
