Software Requirements Manager for BMS (f/m) Ostrava

  • Do you want to shape the future of automotive industry? Are you interested in e-mobility? We are looking for engineers to expand our team developing battery management system for the Volkswagen Group.
  • Our project targets series development for hybrid and full electric vehicles for different Volkswagen group members. The battery management system software gives the heartbeat to vehicles from Porsche, Volkswagen or Audi and has therefore an impact of millions of produced vehicles sold worldwide. We are involved in the development from the very beginning proof of concept (POC) phase to the final start of production (SOP).
  • We are in close collaboration with the stakeholders in order to specify requirements for the series development and we are keen to present new solutions and possibilities resulting from our pre-development experiments.
  • We are looking for new colleagues of all experience levels. Given the variety of activities, we value willingness to learn and self-motivation the most. Nevertheless, you should have knowledge of one or more technical areas described below. Should you be interested in development of battery management system from concept to product, we would be happy to talk.


  • Writing of SW specification of functional requirements for BMS
  • Analysis and evaluation of higher level system requirements specifications
  • Mediation of negotiations between function owners and stake holders
  • Presentations, reviews and releases of results based on established SW-development process
  • Creation of change requests and presentation to change control board
  • Team work, cooperation with other project teams and suppliers


  • Degree with technical focus in Information Technologies, Automotive Engineering, Control Engineering or in relevant educational background preferred
  • Previous experience in software architecture, requirements engineering or software development
  • Previous experience in the field of automotive electronics such as control units, buses, communication protocols, diagnosis, etc.
  • Previous experience in the field of e-mobility, such as battery cells and battery management systems, measurement and identification of battery cell parameters and charging standards is an advantage
  • Good command of English, German is an advantage
  • You are enthusiastic about modern technologies and cars
  • You work service- and team-oriented, are self-confident and always have an eye for the essential
  • Willingness to travel
